My new 2024 4Runner came with factory installed rock rails. I believe they are made of 2" tubular steel. I'm trying to find a set of detachable steps, so that I don't have to replace the rails. The only steps that are sold in sets of 2 are from N-Fab, but the N-Fab rails they fit are only 1.75" tubular rails. (JPTS32) The N-Fab customer service team tells me that I might have to make a slight modification to get the steps to fit correctly. Any other reasonably priced steps I should be looking into? Will the N-Fab rails fit my rails? Thanks in advance!

I have the factory frame mounted rock rails. N I doubt those will be a direct bolt on.

    mostly stock for now
I went down this road a few years ago and yes it is possible to fit those to the OEM rock rails. You will need to grind a fair amount from the step supports and need some washers as the spacing between the supports are not exactly the same. I have not mounted them because the steps do extend out from the body and did not want bang my shins on them in the garage. I can post some photos if it helps

    Hello there.
If you have the Factory Rock rails I can trade you for my 2024 factory predator steps.
If you are not to far away from South Florida

I spec'd my '24 ORP with the OEM rock rails assuming (incorrectly) that they would also be able to serve as a step. Nope. But they do look good though. I'll probably swap them out at some point for steps because I mostly don't need the protection of the rock rails.... I like GoRhino RB30s.
