Where in VA are you located?

Optionally, if you were dreaming of different colors, you could always order some Katzkin or the like. Take it to the upholstery shop and you're custom!

I emailed a place that does repairs (based on a PM from one of you guys). I will let you know what I decide. Thank you everyone for all the help thus far. There have been some really, really good suggestions. If this was my vehicle, I might choose to go the route of Katzkins or something like that…….but I hesitate to invest a bunch of money into a vehicle where she or the kids are so hard on the interior.

Well actually, large amounts of dihydrogen oxide had proven to be fatal.

If it doesn't matter 20 years from now, it doesn't matter. Fix it and move on with a wife that feels loved and cared for.

All cars are my responsibility. What I get in return is multiples of the cost and time spent maintaining them. She hasn't been responsible for taking care of a vehicle in 20 years. The oil changes itself in her opinion. I'm good with that.

I'd plop her down and let her read this thread.

She has read the thread. She doesn’t really understand male humor…….so she was mildly offended by some of it. She softened a little once I explained that fact.

She’s a good lady……way better than I deserve for sure…..I definitely married up in looks and personality. I basically buy her whatever she wants because she truly is that good to me.

I mean……she lets me keep a Bronco, F-150, and 2 Corvettes (C6 and C7). The only thing she asks is she likes her 4Runner and wants that for her (even though she lets me drive it some).

Mrs Jason71, we humbly apologize for our crass humor. We're just little boys on the playground and you know we love to have our fun.
(But you should smack your hubby between the eyes for bringing it to our attention in the first place.)
Feel free to bash him here for the first ding he puts in the runner. (And you know he's gonna do it sooner or later.)

Use it as an excuse to get real leather seats up front and have an upholstery shop do the work, then ask her to break other stuff you want to upgrade.

Just a follow-up Post. Guys, thanks for all the help and suggestions. I ended-up taking it to a repair shop. They stripped the panel, re-stained it, and then re-coated it. He told us it wouldn’t be 100% perfect on the front end…..but it is pretty damn close. It definitely is better than I thought it would turn-out. You would never know it had happened by looking at it. Wife / I am very happy with the results.

We don't want to hear about it if something stops working or acts janky due to an electrical problem...
