This issue is been there for a week now. I think some s/w glitch on my headunit or complete h/w failure of the wifi device. I used it daily despite the pain of turning on going through the menus everytime I start the vehicle.

What service plan are you on that you're paying $15x3 phones? I think I've given Verizon more than enough of my money over the years.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

I've had Mint Mobile for 5yrs. My plan has been unlimited talk/text & 5gigs of data, for $15 per month. I pre-pay 12months at a time to get the max discount. They have excellent coverage.

    https://www.mintmobile.com/plans/

The best part? My company gives me $50 a month to pay for my cell plan. So I come out ahead! I save the excess money and buy a new phone every year or every other year.

I've been on Mint Mobile about the same amount of time... It's been great for us. I am using he $20 plan and prepay around $240 every year.

It's been worth it for the price... Only negative I can think of is having to purchase your phones outright, but this isn't an issue if you budget with the savings you made.
I was worried when Ryan Reynolds sold the company that it would go down-hill, but no issues so far.

I'm an Apple user and I found a way around this by getting the Apple Credit Card... I have 24 months to pay off my iphone at 0% Interest.

I COULD pay off both phones now, but I'd rather buy fun stuff for the 4Runner. Priorities!

I ran the numbers when I first signed up (this was back in 2018). I was paying about $78 a month with AT&T. That's $936 a year. With Mint, it was $180 + tax. I think it comes out to $194?.

Sure, I have to pay for an unlocked phone, but I NOW have $734 to do that. That's how much I saved my first year. I dropped AT&T and never looked back. Couldn't be happier. Don't be so short sighted. Run the numbers and see how much you'll save in 1/3/5yrs.

Since my phone has a very limited data plan I always connect my phone to in car wifi and listen to YouTube. (Our band music director share YouTube links of the list of the songs we play on Sundays. During the week I listen to them and put in to my brain.)

I just finished upgrading the tweeters from the JBL system to the Infinity Reference speakers and it is indeed every bit as good as discussed.

    https://a.co/d/0ymM6zw

The only thing I did that might be unique is that Instead of cutting and splicing the wire harness I used some matching pins to terminate the wire and it plugs into the OEM plug real nice.

I got my first 4WD miles this evening, visiting a nearby historical marker. I should have gone earlier in the day, for by the time I got to the top of the mountain, it was dark. I couldn't get a good picture, but the sky and small sliver of moon were beautiful!

trying a wireless backup camera since with the tire carrier the regular camera even relocated is useless. I haven't installed a hardwire camera on the carrier itself because it's not always on the car.

I know these speakers offer a good improvement for non JBL systems, but is there really that big of a difference with JBL systems? Being 3 ohm speakers (OEM jbls are 2 ohm) did the output drop some? And did you have to trim the backside of the OEM grill for clearance?

I’m not an audio expert but I believe the JBL are 4ohm. The Infinity are 2ohm. They are much louder than the JBL tweeters so I adjusted the output to the tweeters down. They’re much more clear than the JBL speakers as well.

You do have to trim down the grill. Don’t use a sander. Use one of those vibrating cut off tools and it’s much cleaner and quicker.

Added a cargo net to stop stuff falling to the ground when I open the hatch. Who knew that adding something simple would solve the problem, no more damaged goods.
