4R Key Fob Battery

Hello ALL

Subject: 2021 4R/TRD-ORP

A warning light just came on my dash saying that the battery in my key fob is running low. And says: "See your dealer for service" !!

Is there a way to change out the battery in the key fob without taking it to the dealer ? Thanks for any help.

how long do the batteries typically last before needing replacement?

 

From what I have seen about 1.5 to 2 years. Many variables can increase/decrease life.

 

WOW !! The Battery in my key fob that I use on a regular basis has lasted over 4 years !! I have never had to use the spare key fob. But better change the battery in that one also.
