    Good evening everyone!

I’m done riding the struggle bus!! I’m picking up some steps tomorrow!! But I fear I have one problem. This purchase won’t come with hardware, and I didn’t see any of those fancy factory bolts you guys speak of when I was under the truck earlier.

Am I looking at the correct part here? Or can I go pick up something from Home Depot instead? I’m really worried about rust considering it’s rainy season over here.

Edit: After actually looking at the link, probably not lol. Please help :annoyed:

It's likely those are the bolts you need. If your 4Runner didn't come with steps, there should be 6 "place holder" (for lack of a better term) bolts under the body where the steps mount. They don't usually leave those threaded holes empty from the factory. The bolts that should be in those locations have the right threads, but may be a bit short to mount your steps. You could take one to the dealer, or hardware store if you so choose, for comparison.

Can you take a look under there to see if there's 6 bolts on each side? Or just empty threaded holes...

Yup, they were all just empty holes caked with dirt. Planning on cleaning up in the morning. Didn’t look too bad. Honestly just picked up the 4R from a dealership a few weeks ago

Just a thought, you could order a hardware kit from N-Fab directly for your particular installation. That would take the guesswork out.

Make sure to treat your N-Fab steps with some sort of rust preventative. Mine started rusting appear in a matter of weeks. Wish I would have done that initially!
