    Hello, I have a 1st generation 4runner with no lift. I am currently running 31x15s i have a chance to get 33x17s tires. I will have buy new rims. Could someone please let me know what the back space is?
    Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Short answer, yes, you will have to buy 17" wheels to fit the 33x17's. 31x15 have a 15" wheel.

    Take the wheel off, lay something flat across the back lip of the wheel. Measure the distance between the flat edge and the back of the wheel where it mounts to the hub, that's the backspace.
