Been hearing a crackling noise in the drivers dash at 40 mph and up. Finally narrowed it down to the plastic black wiper cowling that’s immediately below the windshield. Take it off, no crackle, put it back on, crackle comes back.

I’ve tried replacing the loose push lock pins with plastic nuts and bolts. It’s not the plastic pieces that are on each side of this (popped those out prior, no impact to noise). It’s also not the rubber gasket, or the small plastic piece that removes to uncover the brake fluid fill/reservoir.

I can’t see anywhere it’s rubbing or banging. There’s nothing trapped in the vents. Thinking of trying foam tape maybe where it connects to metal next.

    Anyone else figure this out?
