Hi folks. New to the 4runner world. This is my wife's daily driver. I just recently upgraded her stock tires to the 275/55/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. We love the ride and look, but I am considering a 2" spacer kit in the front. What are ya'lls thoughts?tires2.jpg

    Oooh look, another mod.....
The rake is there for a reason. If you aren't going to do any towing or hauling; then maaaaaaaaybe you should get a spacer kit. But just be warned, it will impact the ride quality.

So, would some Bilstein 5100 all around the vehicle be a better upgrade? Just looking for a little more ground clearance.

Welcome to the forum, Josh. If it’s your wife’s daily driver I’d just leave it stock ride height. Just like @borracholoco said, if you fuss with the ride height and the wife feels the increased ride harshness, then you might have hell to pay for it.

Welcome from Wisconsin! Go for it! We had a spacer at first, the ride was ok, that was with 275-70-17 10 ply rated tires. Actual benefits come with shock/spring packages though.

You're probably going to be at negative rake with 2" front and nothing rear.

I think 1" would get you where you want to be without really impacting ride quality and without giving you negative rake.
