Wow I must've been tired, I guess i already posted the lunar..my apologies..lol

 

Not a bad lil score today lol

 

Very nice! I said I was going to post pics of the bald eagles I found in a field nearby but they were really far away and a bit blurry when cropped. Then I found pics from the Galapogos with our old digital zoom camera (which are also poor quality). I tried to pick some of the best but ended up with over 90 pics in the "best" bin. When I narrow it down to something reasonable I'll post up. Maybe this weekend

Torrey Pines Glider Port in San Diego. If you look closely at the photo you can see a dog on the back of the Hanglider Pilot

I flew Hangliders back in the 70's. I've got around 200 flights at Torrey Pines and close to 100 flights off of Palomar Mountain. Back in those days there were no regulations, if you wanted to buy a hanglider and jump you did just that.
Never crashed at Torrey Pines, it takes a bit to learn how to land back on top. Before you figured it out there were only beach landings at Blacks Beach below (Nude Beach) Funny as hell to see a bunch of nude people running to get
out of the way while you were landing! Packing a 60lb. kite up the cliff trails was a bitch. I was in damn good shape then! 50lbs. ago, 50 years ago!

 

Apparently, Merlins are rare/uncommon in my area, according to online. Best shots i could get, he was too far away, I'll take em lol

i really wish the Nikon P900 had a better, clearer display screen. When you look at it outdoors it doesn't look bad, until you get it home, switch the SD card to your phone, and realize, it's not that great at all..... excited to get the shot, not vexcited about the clarity... oh well, maybe next time lol

 

I get you. Wonder if the P1000 screen is better...?

 

No idea, but those are getting harder to come by, especially now that they've been discontinued
