2006 4Runner

My Son has a 2006 4Runner where the airbag light would come on for a while, then turn off.
We used an Autel Scanner and it came up with...

B1181 D Squib (2nd Step) Circuit open - Current

B1152 Off indicator Open Driving Curcuit - History

What are the chances that the issue is the clock spring in the steering wheel?
We looked it up and it mentioned driver side and passenger side air bags are affected.

What brands are good for replacement?

It "seems" the cheapy ones work just fine.
I have my airbag light on, that issue unfortunately. Been ignoring it.
