How big is your garage and can you work on your 4Runner in it comfortably?

I've got a 3 stall garage that's 23' deep. One stall is for the 4R and for parking out of the elements. One is for my Wife's quilt storage and the 3rd is for book storage. My vehicle maintenance gets done in my 32'x32' shop, insulated but not heated.
What I came from was about 33 years of vehicle maintenance out in the open air at an elevation of 5,300'. So I've changed oil and other things in the blazing sun or on a sheet of ice. Now we're in a different State after we retired from our gubmint jobs.
We are on the outskirts of town but not in the country. And thank goodness for NO hoa's.
Our not so close neighbors and myself help out each other with what we can do but most of us have age related issues.
I recently acquired another '03 Jeep TJ and plan on installing a Meyer's snow plow on to it. That way I can go back to my "roots" and clear snow from access roads and driveways. No charge of course. But I'll work for hot chocolate and cookies.

 

Small house small garage. Definitely need an upgrade.

 

our garage is 22' wide, 20'deep, and the perimeter on three sides is taken up by shelves, workbenches etc so I loose about 4' width and 2' depth... so yeah effectively 18x18. on maintenance days, I pull one car out and the guest of honor goes front and center, for oil changes, I back it out just enough to get under the front as needed. depending on what work I'm doing, I'm pretty careful to leave enough room to close the main door in case it turns into a multi-day project (more of a concern with my Chevy product)

 

Build it as big as you can and don’t look back. You will use it sooner or later and if you don’t the next dude who buys it will pay you for it.

 

This is about the right proportion of shop to house.

 

Yeah I wanted to add another 6' deep & rove from formal living room (Which it rarely used, No TV) But got over ridden on that decision

 

Both sides I have 27 feet from wall to the garage door. And another section to store my Vette away for the winter. My getaway to my toys.
