Installed a Dasaita G13 replacing a Kenwood floating screen.

Fit and finish is as good as stock. Far better than the Metra dash kit I was using which was pretty bad.

The Dasaita is super plug and play if you don't have aftermarket amps. Almost fool proof.

Issues I see immediately. My HDR cameras seem to work but lose HDR. They aren't vibrant like the kenwood displayed. This really sucks. Bit of a waste of money on the cameras.

Can't seem to customize the backup lines. I sure hope this is fixable.

The stupid wiring harness doesn't have a remote wire to turn on amps. I spliced into the power antenna but the speakers would pop. Had to find its accessory power out and spice into that.

Again fit and finish is very nice. Screen looks amazing. I wish they put more effort into these and charged more.

First pic is me trying to find the ACC power for the amp remote. Was using a needle to get to the back of a pin, tested with a voltage meter, then a jumper in the photo to test the amp for the popping noise.

Man I’ve had those Lamin-X films in the drawer for a couple months. Too damn hot outside to fool with it. Soon enough I guess.

Added a manual "camping" switch for the auxiliary light panel; accessory mode was really annoying.

What's the consensus on the springs? Is this with the front and rear springs swapped?

Yes the westcott lift are spacers so they are removed and the oem spacers put back on with the Eibach springs. So now it’s only lifted with higher springs.

Spent a lot of time over the weekend polishing my 4Runner

Only had time to detail the exterior paint and didn't bother with interior or wheels. I was surprised how easy it was to get good results on the 4Runner paint. Here's the regimen:
Chemical Guys medium clay bar with Meguiar's detail spray
    Flex 3401VRG with Orange Pad
    Polish: Danase Swirl Abolisher I
    Wax: Collinite 845IW

Cleaned off the K&N air filters (interior and exterior). Interior was dirtier than the engine bay one. Little bit of water (and elbow grease) and leaf blower wind made a quick dispatch of the job.

Time for an afternoon nap on day off. :)

Well the deal might not be dead just yet they came up from $34,650 to $47,800

So it does not have KDSS which I like or the sliding rear deck which I’m not too fond of actually. It’s good in some cases but you really lose some use of space with the deck.

That was the trade in as they low balled it, and I just got up and walked out then the texting started and the difference was around $14.4 now we’re at a difference of around $4.4K out of pocket and then it’s free and clear.

Pretty proud of this project I just finished up. I designed all the parts and had them cut out and bent and my buddy helped me weld it up. Super stoked on how it came together.

Good on you! I'm playing with some designs myself. Post or sell your designs. I am doing something similar building up something my wife wants. I have the look she wants, I just have to reverse engineer the mounting haha

The only "weak" point I can see that might be an issue is the unsupported 90° bend that the rope comes out of... Probably never going to be an issue but time will tell if a small adjustment is required. Very nice and clean design! I might have to bother you for the design file some day!

I may do just that. Id have to tweak some of the design but it’s like 90% of the way there. It could be a cheap diy alternative to other hidden winch mounts. Are you planning on a bumper?

There really isn't any pulling force on that 90° facing. It's just a spot for the fairlead to mount and the line to enter/exit. You could always gusset the sides if you wanted.

On a side note I've found life goes much more smoothly when you have the look your wife wants. ;)
