You know what bro. I gave my wing boys Alot of shit until I learned how many hours you boys put in every day just to keep our birds in the air so I could take a 15 minute helo ride. Hats off to you guys. I know you all busted your asses and burned many of midnight oil.

Thank you for your service. My father was a Marine and my brother was a load master on a C-130 in the 82nd Airborne. I tried to jump in at the start of the first Gulf War and they wouldn't take me. :oldglory:

    Hmm,

When were you in Iraq doing PSD - I was at Camp Butler doing CIVPOL for a while for DOS while still in the Reserves, some of those guys on your contract team look familiar, you by any chance know a Cameron Lowman - or a slew of other names I could throw out;-)

Now for my service - did 12 years Active duty Air Force as a 3C071 and a 3D072 and was a me first guy so actually saw combat back in 2002 while forward deployed to Asscrackistan from UAE. Followed up my 12 years active as a Reservist with 920th Rescue Squadron and screwed around with the PJ's and did some fun stuff.

    Deployments - yeah:
2002 - UAE then sent forward to asscrackistan with 10th Mountain Army to enjoy some nice walks in the mountains while being shelled and shot.
    2004 - Qatar - CAOC
    2006 - BIAP - Sather AB
    2008 - Qatar - CAOC
2010 - Department of State contract Gig while still in reserves - Camp Butler mainly but all over IZ, and went as far North as Erbill and a lot of time at Basra

    Squadrons and assignments:
1997 - 1998 Lackland for Basic and then Keesler AFB for School
1998 - 2001 Cheyenne Mountain AFS aka NORAD Colorado Springs Colorado
    2001 - 2004 45th Patrick AFB Florida
    2004 - 2008 32nd AOC Ramstein AB Germany
    2008 - 2009 96th Eglin AFB Florida
    2009 - 2013 920 Rescue Patrick AFB, Florida

Fucking loved every minute of it - only got out due to divorce, the 3 forward deployments while living in Germany were too much for my now ex-wife and she took my two kids, so I switched to reserves to be close to them and then Hated the reserves and their bullshit - did my 4 turned down E-7 and walked away. Have some damn good disability from some injuries on deployments and active duty as well as a bunch of metal in my face and head from my time playing Air Force Rugby.

As for pics - will pull some up and add in from home, on a work computer in our SIPR room so nothing on it...

That's some funny stuff right there, small ass world man! Were you there before they sent the Kiwi's home? Those New Zealanders were a freaking riot man - and I'm sure we know a lot of the same people man! Seems like a lifetime ago now but some vivid, good and bad memories from that time.

Hell yeah I do! Crazy how small the military and veteran communities are overall man. And not sure about all of them but Janet was the one everyone was tagging, she also got one of my buddies move out of contract as she said he sexually harassed her - Gabe was his name he was also selling a lot of suppliments on the side so not sure if he was still there when you were there, Stocky black dude that has a lot of Porsche's here in the states and a huge Oregon fan:)

Stacey was a smaller girl that was dating one of the South Africans and he left and she went ape shit and started banging everyone - she had a nice ass. Then there were the two Russian chicks, the Blond who was hotter but didn't screw around, and the dark haired one that was messing with my buddy Fransisco aka JR. Her last name was like Pussycat or something we just called her pussycat and that's all I remember her as.

Forgot I had a few on Facebook from when I was back there - threw them on here - this is what I looked like when I was out there as they are all from Butler and BIAP area:) Had to laugh as you See The Shark spray bombed in the bunker on first pic:)

I look a bit different now - don't lift for size anymore more of a crossfit and HIT guy - shaved my head for years now and actually like no facial hair after all the military years, the pic with my youngest daughter is me nowadays, around 35lbs lighter and that old light and leathal saying definitely applies, not sure how I lived and did as well as I did carrying 23-245 around at 5'8 most of my adult life.

8 years active 76-82. USAF Myrtle Beach AFB most of the time. Weapons Mechanic on the A-10. I love the A-10. We were the AF's first A-10 fighter wing. Awesome plane but the pentagon people have been in an all out effort to get rid of it. They are blind to the truth.

Did two trips to Iraq, the first I got FAP'ed out to a MP company and stood in the turret of humvee doing convoy security and route clearing all over al Anbar. Second deployment was with the 13th MEU as a M88A2 operator attached to 1st Tanks

Deployed as an IA with NMCB 24 from Huntsville, AL for OIF 9 from MAR 09 to SEP 09 to Al Asad, Iraq. We were the last Seabee Battalion in Iraq. We pulled all our CESE out of country. Ran scout MRAP for CSE through Al Anbar Province. Loved every minute of it. Spent my 20th B-day at small arms range at Ali Al Salem Air Base.
    Biggest regret... having gotten out.
