I have a P0440 code only and I found a split hose. Could this be the issue?

I’ve attached pics and point to where the line leads. I’m not sure what the line is for so if anyone has any insight on that it would be much appreciated. Do you think it could be the cause for P0440?

yes split hoses are becoming common for 3rd gen, replace all of them with fuel hoses.

It will also spit out the same code for a bad gas cap, or one that was not fully tightened. Definitly an easy thing worth checking.
