    Oooh look, another mod.....
A middle-aged well-to-do white woman and her high maintenance dog... Yup, BMW really nailed their target demographic with that video.

That was just 1 of many. I picked it because it was direct, short & to the point. I don't give a rats @$$ who or what dog was in the video.

I've been trying to figure out which phone mount to get and I like your set-up with the longer arm. Which bullet point mounting-arm did you get? I looked on their website but found only the small arms or the colored ones. Yours looks to be black. Thanks!

Well that didn't work because hers doesn't have 3 buttons. No home link on this 230i Cpe.

Totally different from what you're asking about, but I like this combination:
    Schosche PC834492 and Scosche UH2AMPS from Bezos-world.

Swapped the 200w panel for a 120w that actually fits between the rack rails.

I stand corrected it had been a while and I thought the arm was from BP but the 6” arm came from Amazon. Looks like they are out at the moment. My apologies I don’t know how to add link here, but here’s a pic.

That "visit your dealer" stuff really annoys me in a vehicle that is supposed to be ultra reliable. Once I had techstream it took a single click to reset the pre collision system--calling it a calibration is fake news.

    Slapped vinyl on the headlights:
    20240902_190549.jpg

Cyclone rock lights (three add-on 2 light kits cause I'm cheap):
    20240902_232635.jpg

Deleted the side and rear lights on the rack; pretty much never used them except for camping and even then the glare from lights pointing sideways was annoying.

Sorry for late response, as went on a road trip to Tuktoyaktuk to the “End of the Road”. In perfect conditions without obstructions, on my trip I was getting about 25+% charged (- fridge running so a net 20+%). On more over cast days I was getting just under half that. Since I also used my mini Nespresso machine, a small kettle, charged camera batteries and my Apple Watch, I did manage to get my power station down to 40%, at which point I decided to enable the alternated charging.

Be the same for any panels on a house. If unlucky the glass on the front can crack / shatter. Flexible panels are more durable (similar to the Tesla solar roof shingles), weight less but are more expensive. Mid grade versions of flexible panels also produce much less than their rating compared to rigid panels.

Got some precut vinyl made for this on Etsy, and it sucked (thin, fragile, hard to install). Just used this stuff cut freehand with an xacto instead.

I did try doing the whole thing with their tinted wrap, but gave up. Suspect the bulbous shape is impossible to smoothly cover without a lot more skill and/or relief cuts.

Finally got around to swapping out the drivers side seat foam in my 2011 Limited. It'd lived a good life but the bolster is shot and I was sitting on the metal frame. This is a job for the patient. It's not overly difficult if you break it up into stages. I considered replacing the cover but with heated seats those are near $600.

4runner build is coming along nicely. Wife and I will start installing parts this weekend! I told her it’s her build so she has to wrench on it.

Ha! It's had floor mats it's entire life. I have only had it 2 years. Shockingly I only found 1 French fry and 1 crayon under the seat from the original owner. Barefoot is the best.

Changed the oil and filter today. Oil change number 27 give or take one or two. Also saw my brake reservoir cap was missing. Looked in all the obvious places but then found it on the frame rail by the battery. Really not sure how it got there and how long it had been off.
