I am about to put a torqe leveling lift kit (3/1) and I am trying to upgrade the UCA to get the caster as close to 4 degrees. I am going to put KO2 285/70R/17. THE RIMS HAVE A -18 OFFSET and I was told that this would help when I want to lift my rig with new suspension. I want to know what the backspacing would be because JBA UCA will not fit with certain backspacing. I want to do all this to prevent as much rubbing.

I also did some research for SPC which I have read have mixed reviews.

    Go with jba arms.

I think you have you have 4.5" or less backspacing(with 285s)

The JBA UCA's "tilt" the top of the wheel assembly towards the back of the truck to achieve the greater caster numbers. With stock size tires, 17x8 -10 wheels and 2/1 lift, I always rubbed at when turning (especially backing) before full lock after I installed my JBA's. I don't see how you won't rub with your proposed set-up.

With the negative offset like op stated(-18) and 285s they probably will rub. Most uca when you add castor will make the back of the tire get closer to the body mount. Jba just requires you to have - offset to use them(with 285s or wider). Others don't require that.

If you don't want to use - offset wheel. I'd recommend dobinson uca.

I will most likely have to cut some stuff which I am okay with. Just kind of wish there was a way around it.

We use the JBA's with 3 in./2 in., 0 offset wheels, 8.5" wide, 275X70-17 tire, have zero rub issues since installation. Caster is 4.0 after alignment. We first ran stock ORP wheels, with stock control arms, also no rubs. Lucky? Should I buy lottery tickets?
