I have vowed never to buy another car that is black, white, red, or any flavor of gray. Look at the sheer number of them! I just don’t want to contribute to the monotony I see on the road.

What your choice of car color says about you:

You see yourself as “cool”. You probably wear sunglasses at night and have an allergy to chrome. You like gangster movies and bob your head to theme music in your head as you drive.

These cars are colorless and bland, like the people who drive them. Buy a personality and drive a car with an actual color!

Nautical Blue - Ahoy polloi! See you at the yacht club. Didn’t they used to have an Eddie Bauer edition?

Voodoo Blue - the color of your man parts whilst tied off with a rubber band. Totally cringy.

Lime Rush - A great base color for a Gatorade™ promotional wrap! For folks who are determined to have the “special color”, no matter what it is.

Army Green

Barcelona Red, Salsa Red Pearl
Colors associated with heat, spice and blood. Is it a coincidence that you drive a car this color? In-your-face and RACY. Go do some crimes - or - wiggle into your tightest cocktail dress and PARTY!

Solar Octane, Inferno
“Look at me! Look at me!” For narcissists and attention seekers. These colors are not found in nature. They are unnatural. Like you. Friends don’t let friends drive day-glo.

Magnetic Gray Metalic, Classic Silver Metallic, Titanium Silver, Cement, Galactic Mica, Shadow Mica, Lunar Rock, Underground
Look at all these names for gray! Sooo much effort put into making gray sound exciting rather than dull. Not black. Not white. These cars fade into background, much like their owners. Drivers of these cars lack commitment.

You may have noticed that Cavalry Blue and Army Green have avoided criticism. They denote bravery and honor. But most of all they avoid being black, white, gray, and red — and without being obnoxious.

I drive a Salsa Red Pearl and everywhere I go people say they really like that color.

 

I got stuck with white. FML, right? Wasn't my first color choice, but it's grown on me. I don't mind flying under the radar. Let someone else get pulled over for being more visible.

I almost went Barcelona but went Pooper Whire. I really would have liked Calvary Blue but wasn’t getting a pro bro for it. Then I think Toyota offered it on the TRD.

Told the dealer I'd look at any nice used 4r that wasn't white. Wound up with swirl mark blue and immediately squandered any classiness that might have conveyed by putting internet parts all over it.

On an unrelated note, I had a peach of a white longbed hardbody when I lived in LA that was basically rolling birth control. Every girl who caught sight of it ghosted me if we were between dates 1 and 4. Meanwhile, guys tried to buy it everywhere I went (I assume for their landscaping businesses).

What my metallic black color says about me is that this is the 4Runner the dealer had. on the other hand, my 2022 Tacoma Barcelona red said that that’s the color my dealer had when I bought that one. am I the only one who never gets to choose the color of their vehicle?

 

And I thought the 4Runner site was going to be sedate compared to the Tacoma World group. (Former Tacoma owner 17+ years)

 

Nah. This is just a gag. I was expecting comebacks like “Spalding you couldn’t be more wrong. White is the color of ice and snow. White 4Runners are the coolest!” or “Inferno is the color that the song My Gal is Red Hot was written for.”
