Has anyone swapped a tundra engine into a second gen? Wondering if it is possible there’s one for super cheap and I’m considering it.

The 1uz has been swapped into every gen of 4Runner just about. It’s not just a bolt in swap, there is some work involved.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.

I've got a chevy 327, I was interested in swapping into my 2nd gen 4runner. A few of the shops asked me why?
Do I have the 3.4 v6. Yes. He told me it wasn't worth it, that this 3.4 v6 is the best engine Toyota makes and they
    are reliable past 250,000 miles.

Now I just have to get the evap error codes 440, 441, 446 fixed annually for my 2001 runner.

Looking for a fair shop in North Texas that can do the job for reasonable money.

At least take into consideration an LS based engine over the old school options, Unless that is the only option.
