    Hi folks! New member here!

I have a 2001 4WD Limited 4Runner that I've been maintaining and manage to log over 360,000 miles on. But I'm finding many of the connectors on the wiring harness going to the coil packs, fuel injectors, etc., have become so brittle that the retainer clip often break when disconnecting them.

I've managed to locate many of the correct pig tail replacement connectors, but I am stumped in finding one particular connector that attaches to the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor that is on the throttle body. I believe this is the sensor that takes the signal from the gas pedal and actuates a motor to open the TB the correct amount.

This is NOT the Throttle Position Sensor, that sensor is on the firewall side of the TB, the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor is on the grill side of the TB. It has 4 pins.

Has anyone had to replace this connector, and if so, where did you find it?

I have found one that "looks" like it might fit, but the description says it's for a Lexus engine, but I ordered it anyway ($10) hoping it will fit the connector on the 4Runner TB.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read, and let me know of any suggestions!

Why not post a picture so we know exactly what part you are discribing or location of it

Yes, of course. My bad. Here are some photos, I hope they are easy to recognize to where on the engine I'm referring. See the broken connector with the orange moisture seal ring:

The last photos is showing the APPS itself, and that it has 4 pins.

Also, that plug is used in 6 locations on the 2002 4runner. Probably also across a ton of models. Any junkyard with early this-century TOYOTAs probably has them if you know where on the vehicles they were used.

Wow, that is a goldmine of information! Thanks, for sharing, I had been searching, had even seen that one on Amazon, but did not know if that was THE one. The documentation you shared also is so helpful!

    Thanks again!
