So found this rubber piece on my driver side floor mat. Anyone knows what this might be? Some sort of a bushing from steering column? I peeked under but could not see any obvious missing pieces.

I don't recognize the specific part, but it looks like a grommet for a wire bundle.

Never though about it being wire gourmet, I will definitely poke my hear around more. Wouldn't want any wires to fry and crate a short circuit.

by the wear in a circular motion on the outside, looks maybe on a latch or twisting hinge of some sort that you may have rolled to the front mat from under the seat or maybe the door striker or something.

You do not need it, until you do.

You know you'll find out what it was for right after you throw it away...and, of course, if you only pretend to throw it away, you won't find out what it is.

Too poor to buy anything now
I have a box in my garage for things like that. Things I've found on the floor or in the cars and don't know where they came from. This way, if I ever find that I need it, I know where it is.

The first thing I'd check is the wire bundle for the seat motors and seat heaters. Then up under the dash.

I searched for the phrase "cock ring" and came across this post in the Tacoma World 2nd gen section explaining this part: https://www.tacomaworld.com/posts/5756037

Toyota sells it together with the spring: https://autoparts.toyota.com/products/product/spring-tension-w-da-9050720034

Wow, that is some amazing detective work. I poked around under the dash and around seats and other areas but nothing seemed to be missing, I will give the spring a try. Thank you.
