My weather stripping is torn in many places, its not leaking yet, but it doesn't seem like it will do its job much longer. The prices that Toyota charge for just one door is ridiculous, over $300. It seems like one of those things that isn't complicated, its just rubber gasket.

Do people usually use off the shelf parts to replace weather stripping? How simple of a job is it to replace it?

Yeah, that stuff. Is the door seal held on with plastic clips?

You can buy from a discount TOYOTA dealer and get a decent price or you can get aftermarket stuff that you will fight with and won't ever be perfect.

I replaced my driver's side door and was worth every cent.

    Where did you see $300?
