Your 2003 V8 has the unsealed 5 speed A750 transmission (35010-3G360) which means it has a dipstick and uses Type IV ATF, the other transmission is from a 2004 V8 which has the "sealed" 5 speed A750 transmission (35010-3G390) which means it doesn't have a dipstick, but instead has the "fluid level check plug" on the bottom of the pan and a fill plug on the side and uses WS ATF, I think the 2004 will bolt up to the 2003 engine....but looking at some online photos the torque converter appears to be a little different in the center and give you trouble where it goes into the end of the crankshaft.

It look like all the electrical connectors and other connections are the same BUT they could be wired differently internally, you really can't tell just looking at photos.

So it may bolt up and work fine or you maybe able to make it work or it may not work, sorry I can help more.

I would suggest getting one with the same part number just so you know it will work properly.

Here's links to the 2 that I was comparing on eBay.

    2004

2003 (has the wrong part number in the auction title, but the correct number shown in the photos)

I think you may have just answered the question I have been researching but to be sure: the 2003 unsealed A750 with the dipstick is actually physically different than later models in that it does NOT have the fill plug on the side. So in my case, where I have a damaged oil pan, I will have to find a replacement with the dipstick otherwise I will never be able to fill it, correct?

    Thanks in advance!
