Had to be a stuck throttle, right?

Shift into neutral and turn off engine? With all that snow on the ground, try to just spin it hard?

How is that unavoidable? For starters, getting off the throttle helps, second- if you are facing the way you came from again, that is time to stop and rethink your next plan of action. I suppose if beer or other mind altering things involved - common sense is out the window. Doesn’t look that any one is hurt, not even a dash cam.

When I look at it all, it seems almost too obvious to me that the airbags went off before the 180º turn, at which point the driver was either knocked unconscious, confused? Hurt? Something. But the correlation between what was happening before, and what happened after, seems like something "sudden" changed. Also, the video CLEARLY cut's off and restarts at the 0:20 second mark, so we're clearly not seeing the full story.

I see the pause you mention. Didn't notice that before. But the dust clouds don't change hardly at on the before frame vs. the after.

Would airbag go off when the bumpers didn't hit anything?

I vote we support a standard certification test and sticker created by thatbassguy that we can put on our vehicles and know at a glance who’s worthy!

    Maybe phrasing like “A thatbassguy-certified Not-an-Idiot™”

I'm certainly not claiming to be any sort of expert. I've done stupid things myself (a lot).

I just try to avoid hanging out with anyone who thinks the solution is always more throttle. Those are the ones who break stuff.

The people I hang out with are all usually thinking, in the back of their head, "remember, you have to drive it home!"

How? Did his stack of rubber ducks fall off the dash and knock him unconscious? LOL
