I just picked up a 2021 4Runner this weekend with some basic mods. I also have a Tacoma with long travel set up for the desert. I think the first mod is going to be a winch bumper and sliders.

If the 4runner looks familiar let me know, it came from Southern California and looks like it had a vinyl wrap.

Is a winch going to be the second mod?

 

Welcome from Auburn. And are you sure you need a winch? Apologies if you know this already, but you'll be adding weight, which usually requires suspension upgrade as well and can otherwise cause a change reaction of mods.

I have a winch sitting in my garage that I never installed on the Tacoma along with some amber pods that have been looking for a home.

 

I'll check it out! Thanks for the link, I'll post an introduction.

I got this with intention of running the RCLT suspension once the Tacoma cage is finished, if the front feels heavy I'll pull the winch out until the LT goes on.
