I do have a pedal commander, not sure where to start for troubleshooting. Any help would be appreciated.

Step one: Throw away the pedal pretender because your foot can do the same
    Step two: Read the code

Start with what could be related that the dealer could blame on you (already pointed out) and if it goes beyond that warranty it.

Too poor to buy anything now
Step three: Clear the code & see if it comes back.

Is this the only aftermarket electronics item you have? I agree with others on the P.C.

Djandjul, are running a CB in your 4runner, if yes, were you using it, transmitting, at the moment when code pop-up. If the answer is still yes it's your pedal commander.

If not, clear the code, keep the pedal commander, if it comes back it probably is the pedal commander.

Did the problem start after the lift or have you attempted to relocate or adjust TSS? Just noticed the lift on your signature and have heard of random issues from some members.
