Hello, and thanks for including me in the forum. I've had my 4Runner a few years, 2005 V8 all wheel drive SR5. Great vehicle. It was a company vehicle and racked up around 150k miles quickly. I put a few thousand a year on so now around 170k. In the 1990s I worked in a GM dealership and became ASE certified, and usually do my own maintenance and repairs. First order of business on the 4Runner was secondary AIR work around. (In hindsight I would not hesitate to pull the intake and fix it properly.) I've done the timing belt kit replacement, exhaust manifolds/cats, brakes, calipers, CV axles due to leaking boots, and other minor repairs. My current adventure is a stubborn check engine light. Any recommended places to have the ECM checked and repaired? After that is checked we go down the wiring rabbit hole... -Dan

P.S. In Michigan, we only have a rear plate, and are allowed to do whatever on the front. The Alaska plate was purchased on ebay and adds a personal touch to the 4Runner.
