    Hey everyone,

My name is Matt and I’m the owner/operator of RADO Designs. I’m based out of Michigan and have been making parts for 4Runners, Tacomas and Tundras for roughly 4 years.

I recently released my roof rack for the 5th gen’s, as well as an exterior window panel.

Curious to see if anyone would be interested in a group buy for either or both products. Would need at least 10 people to make it worth while for everyone.

If there’s enough interest I will make a post in the “group buy” section. But figured I’d share here first to see if anyone is interested.

Let me know your thoughts! Thanks!

Thats a big price for something with no security fasteners. You could steal your rackpanel in less than 60 seconds. Maybe at least some tamperproof torx or similar?

The hardware in some of the pictures was just temporary for the pictures when they were taken. All the actual hardware for the exterior window panels is security torx bolts.

Excellent, sorry for nit picking. I would suggest steel black oxide instead of 304SS as rust aside Ive used lots of security fasteners and the smaller ones the heads are to soft in 304 vs non stainless.

no worries. Open to all feedback. I’ve tried black oxide in the past on a product and they started rusting rather quickly. Living in Michigan, I get to test a lot of stuff in the salty winters here. Which leads to discovering what works well and what doesn’t. All of the stainless hardware is a must up here. Which is what is used on all of the products I offer.

yeah im slightly more north than you, I get the rust issue. The black oxide with flash rust quickly. I find tamper proof torx or pin head hex in 304SS might be corrosion proof but they are so soft they gall quickly if you remove them a few times. I had some luck with a tri pin head fasteners but thats about it.
