I've been liking cars.com, but not having a ton of luck elsewhere.

Really irritated while browsing on fb marketplace... so many overvalued listings there!!! I wish they had an integrated feature telling you how fair of a deal the price is, taking into account all the mileage, features, etc.

Thanks for any help and wish me luck... I'll go anywhere in the states if it's a good deal.

    - AC
    - Clean Title
    - Auto trans.
    - Non smoking
    - 6 cylinder SR5 or Limited

    Preferred:
    - Rear Differential Lock
    - Well kept [timing belt, water pump, radiator, etc.]
    - Sun Roof

I did find a third party craigslist search that allows me to search nationwide, so that's helpful.

Here in California Offer Up is popular for selling cars. The whole company sucks but I have bought and sold plenty through them. That and craigslist are what I use to buy/sell cars. Have to be good at weeding out the fake ads and such.

Marketplace can only know what the seller tells it so a fairness meter won't be accurate. Best you can do is figure out roughly what you're willing to pay and if the seller is willing to sell at that price, that's the question.

My go-to would be craigslist personally but part of that is just not having a FB account anymore.

You'll probably have to get ready to ask for more photos, go lay eyes on them, deal with the usual private party shenanigans, etc.

restorationstationtx is an interesting Instagram account for a business that fixes these up in Houston, maybe they'll have something for you. I don’t know anything about them though other than their posts so don’t blame me if they run off with your money.

I'd do a quick check on autotempest too but who knows what'll be there.

Maybe you can find something pop up in the classified sections here or on the other site but of course, YMMV.

And more generically, figure out what you’re willing to compromise first. I wanted a 4WD 4th gen without a sunroof initially because multi-mode transfer case standard but pickings were slim. I ultimately decided I wanted side airbags and some newer features too. (simplified quite a bit but the point is there)
