    Hi All,
I just bought my second 2008 T4R. The first one has this but the second doesn't. I'd like to check into adding one.

    Thanks!

It’s the device used to keep downward pressure on these freaking fast 4RUNNERS, without one you may find your rear wheels lifting up from the ridiculously fast speeds… you better keep your speeds down with out it…

It’s not ackshually a spoiler but “spoiler” is probably the best term to find what you want.

Correct as it is not a true spoiler but I believe on the build sheet it's called that.

You funny guy! The first 2008 T4R I got was for a particular purpose in my family. But I have been enjoying driving it around so much making sure it's sorted out that I got another one to be mine-all-mine. But obviously my standards for "fun to drive" are much lower than yours. To each his own!

    Best regards,
    Bry

I think it's there to help red dust collect on the back window.

    Part number 76085-35050.
There is also a color code to add on. A0 for white.
Best to sit down when you look up the price.

Believe it not, it does actually serve a purpose.

When you put very long items on your roof (longboard, sup, kayak, lumber) and you remove those items from the rear (by sliding them back), spoiler helps protect the glass. It's saved my back glass numerous times over the years.

But at $800+$50 for color, would really hurt to buy for such an older vehicle.

Look on door sticker for paint codes.

Toyota Paint codes for 2008 4runner

    Galactic Gray - 1E9
    Shadow - 1F4

I believe their actual function is to keep back window clear of dust, water etc. I remember back in my days working for Jeep, we would install on some of the Cherokees [came standard on Wagoneer], it was a factory acc. option.
