    I was installing a rear camera for my runner and was messing around with the tailgate assembly and felt these two metal pieces at the bottom of the tailgate. I wanted to know if anyone else has found this piece broken in their tailgate. I was also curious if this contributed to my rear window not rolling down from my key fob.     Looks like the two pieces of metal in a wiper insert that provide support.

    I found similar rods that I thought were associated with the sliding rear cargo tray. Havent had the vehicle long enough to investigate.

    Yeah, you might be onto something as I did in fact change the rear wiper blade a couple of months back and it may have had some of the metal from the wiper insert fall in.

    Those are definitely the metal inserts for a rear wiper blade. They fit into grooves on each side of the blade and enable it to slide into the metal "claws" on the wiper arm. At center in this image:
