    I need help figuring out what this is. They are red and black wires that kinda pigtail into what looks like the main wiring harness under the steering wheel. It looks like it was replaced at one point because the wires are different where they connect.

    It looks like it goes to the back of your alternator.

    No it runs into the cab of the 4Runner and ties into the wrong harness inside.
