Looking at buying a local 2002 Toyota 4Runner in very good shape very minimal rust my questions would be is 175k miles something that should scare me away on these older 4Runners? And in central WI does $6000 seem to high. Thank you

That is not a problem. Verify the rust status and what do you know about maintenance over the years. Those are the two important things.

I’ll have to stop by and see the vehicle in person tomorrow and verify that it is as clean as it looks from the outside. The listing price was 8250 lowered to 7250. I’m pretty certain he would take 6000 but the kbb puts that on the very highest end of value. As far as the maintenance history I know it states on the listing it’s had 3+ owners so an accurate history seems difficult.

Take a code reader. Do not even entertain buying a vehicle without checking for codes. Make sure that the computer is in "ready" status and not "pending" status. Pending status would mean, the owner cleared codes and the car hasn't been driven enough to pass all the tests.
