Coolant Temp Sensor issues

    So my 2006 4runner V6 temperature has been rising, almost close to the red. I've replaced the thermostat and that worked for 2 months and now it's the same thing again. I bought a Coolant Temperature Sensor, but Ive looked all over the Internet plus YouTube and found nothing. I even had mechanic take a look into it and couldn't find where the coolant temperature sensor was so we could replace it. If anyone has any information. It would really help me out. I need my vehicle for work thank you.
