I have stock wheels currently running 265/70/R17 and I was wondering if it's possible to run 285/70/R17 without modification? Has anybody done this? Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of threads on this. Do a quick search and you might find your answer. What I haven't been able to find is what is available by trim. I have a Pro and was wondering the same thing.

You till need to trim the front bumper and either remove or trim the mud flap. Toyota has a tsb about this for the pro to clear even the pro tires

Pushing the fender liner forward and heating the mud flap and pushing it back didn't help much. Would need a lift to clear the tires. Haven't decided if I should go Wescott Design spacers / Eibach springs / completely change the suspension. Very tempted for a new suspension route. Will see...

A lift doesn't help clear tires on a IFS setup. Trim the bump off the mudflap and move the fender liner further forward. I rubbed more lifted on 285/70/17s than I did at stock height.

Sorry I'm someone who don't care about that theory. I lift to clear 285/70R17 tires on my 4runners. 2 done, the 4R on the pic would be next. I already have a temporary spacer to clear and a proper fix will come in future. I have sometime since my new kid is too small for wheeling.

It's just geometry but you do you pal. You're still going to need to do something about the fenderliner and mudflap after you lift it.

As shown on my videos I do fender liner pushing forward and push the mud flap back. (TRD ORP & Pro video I cut the bumper, push the fender liner forward and push the mud flap back. On my Limited video just the fender liner pushed forward.)

Without a lift plastic trimming wasn't not enough for me. Don't care Tinkerbell or Pinocchio do geometry, it didn't clear without lift for me.

Then you didn't trim enough. If it didn't clear at stock height then it's not going to clear under compression.

I used to run 285’s when I had a 3/2 lift and I was able to keep the mud flaps. Just did the front fender liner nip and tuck per the service bulletin. Had no issues or rubbing.

There’s lots of threads on this that don’t actually answer OPs question. Always “yes fits stock with my spacers and leveling kit”, etc, etc.

Yep, same story with this SR5. Just 3/2 lift.
