Thank you. My first big plan was to make room in his workshop so that our 4Runner "Neli" could be an indoor pet. That is done. Now my plans are to figure out how to live/what to do without my bigger half. For 30 years he was the idea man, while I handled logistics and support.

Cool that you're keeping "Neli" indoors. Seeing that you're in Florida, Neli will stay looking new if you can keep the UV away (and obviously away from catastrophic weather events - ie hurricane, hail, etc.).

As stout as our Gen 5 Runners are, bright sunlight day-after-day, will age the finish and the interior (especially dashboard) pretty quickly. Sensing that part of Mike's fond memories are associated with Neli, keeping Neli young as long as possible might help your healing. Example: Want time in Mike's happy place, just jump into the driver's seat of Neli - don't even need to drive anywhere, just hang out "together." Just a thought.

So - going forward - should you find that you have any operational questions about Neli, etc. don't hesitate to re-post here to this thread to refresh our memories of Mike and Neli. As always we'll do our best to steer you in the right direction. It's how we roll here at 4Runners.com

I'm very sorry to hear this. I'm new to this forum myself (April) and didn't know your bigger half but since the vast majority of folks on here are nice, good-natured and genuinely helpful, I'll go out on a limb and assume he was much the same way. I can't imagine how difficult things must be having him gone but I'm happy to hear you have plans for Neli and am hoping she brings you at least some joy during this awful time. Sending positive vibes your way.....
