Recently purchased this 4Runner since it has been my dream car for a while. I’m slowly working on it and learning each step of the way.

When doing a coolant flush I noticed that this stem(?) was broken and didn’t have any connection. I’ve been trying to research what connects to it. So far I think it could be a vacuum hose to PS pump? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you just remove the silver cover that says V8? I don't see the brackets for it.
Mine looks different, but I'm the original owner

    Just a couple
04 vs 05 have different IMs, TBs and cams...but the brackets are the same for the engine cover...regardless, it appears to be an PS pump sensor reference point of some sort...it drops on the passenger side of engine block to the pump...closest "tube" to the block (right-side tube into the wye) on second photo:

At the wye, the other tube connect to your resonator on the stock intake tube nipple
