As the title states, I have absolutely no sound at all. It just went out one day while driving (also no input when I turn knob)

I’ve always had problems with the sound system in this thing, but long story short, I’m out of warranty.

going through the warranty process (which is now denied) I am being told there is an issue with the amp, and the head unit and amp both need to be replaced to the tune of $5k. Needless to say, not happening.

I have seen some threads on this, but not really any solutions.

Really don’t know where to start but something tells me maybe just replacing the amp should work?

Is the oem amp my only option?
I just want sound in the car, don’t need anything special (really for work calls while I’m driving).
Is it possible to get some other amp that is plug and play for possibly a more reasonable price?

I would check around for a pull-out with the same model number on eBay. Before buying a replacement amplifier grab a meter and verify power is making it to the amp. IDK if your dealer sucks so it’s possible you just need to replace a fuse.
