If you've never disconnected the sway bar ends on a KDSS 4R, be prepared to have a bit of a fight getting them back connected. It's not like that weenie sway bar on the other models.

In addition - If you want a second opinion, you should take it to a Lexus dealership as they are way more experienced with KDSS system. This was a design originally made for Lexus many years ago and even with current GX's as well. KDSS is undeniable a very good system with minor to no flaws, what you are experiencing is not normal... looking forward to seeing those pictures.

Pictures: I may not get them until after the weekend. Heading out tomorrow for a 3 day camping trip.

I talked to a Lexus dealer as wel as a local independent shop that does a lot of Land Cruiser work, and they both said "ohh, 4Runner system is very different, we can;t help you"

I have a local shop that does suspension work and they said they could take a look and play with the shutter valves. I also have a local Toyota dealer that offered to take a look and actually do some old fashion diagnosis versus just "hook up the computer and see what it says."

So I have options, but I'm also thinking this is a fairly simple hydaulic system with few moving parts, so I'm trying to figure it out first.

One of the questions I have is how it is under pressure? Fluid is not compressible, gas is, so how is the system pressurized?

It's two pistons exerting pressure on each other, when valves are opened, and locked in place by the fluid, when valves are closed. Where is the pressure?

I'm reading through the KDSS Long term reliability? thread to understand more, so my aplogies if this is somehtig that has been beaten to death already.

Still around, just got other crap happening, so this is taking a back seat. Interesting enough I just did a two day WA BDR Section 4 ride and during the drive the lean almost went away, but it then came back when we stopped and camped for the night. When driving the next day, after about 2 hours, it also lessened. So something is up.

Damn, that's bad. I lifted mine 4 years and 90K miles ago. No lean. Here's a recent picture..
