What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Lights earlier this week and Sherpa crestone sport today. Also helped a buddy do black valences, Lfd cross bars and a roof basket. Changing oil and rotating tires now. Been a day full of 4Runners.

 

Finally got some decent after work. Again, not a name brand, but a good close 2nd lol.

 

That engine bay looks like a new vehicle! Good work!

 

Wired in my amp. Still need to do a little clean up and tune...

Had some icons installed today on my daily

 

Ok, we can state facts and/or help. So what im stating is that my car with more lift and taller tires didnt throw an error. So with their car lifted 1.5 and probably stock height tires, an abs and 4wd error codes + more, leads me to believe that the lift is not the issue and a TSS sensor recalbis not going to fix it. Like someone else said, abs wire/sensor was damaged/stretched could be causing the issue.

perhaps the harness is unplugged?

 

any updates?

 

How do you like the sport? I ordered the same on a July 4 sale but it didnt ship yet. Also, can you take an overhead pic? Id like to see how it integrates with the sunroof

 

So far it seems nice and well built. I was surprised how quiet it is. Pretty much no wind noise when I took it for a test drive. I can get some pictures of the roof later today.

I just put a cross bar right behind the sun roof. I have one more cross bar I could add if I need to. It comes with 7. Front and back bar are where they'll always be. Then I spaced out the other 4 evenly.

Installed a Start-X remote start system. Works great and only had one bolt left over!

 

Drove the SR5 to church this am.....afterwards took the missus to get groceries.......got home and cleaned the MAF sensor and cleaned the throttle body. Changed the cabin air filter too!

So I have covered around 500 miles since I installed them. Massive improvement over my Firestone Destination Le3.
Very smooth ride quality, great grip both on dry and wet roads, quite enough at highway speeds but my mpg has taken a hit. I think I ve lost about 1 to 1.5 mpg since I put them on. Maybe they are heavier to what I had earlier.
My car was pulling towards one side which I finally got rectified and hoping these last 70000 miles like they say they do.
I recommend these to anyone looking for an all purpose street tire. I am not sure about their off-road performance.

 

Mine have been just fine on dirt, pretty good on dirt roads after a rain. They don't hold as much gravel as I thought they would. I wouldn't rock crawl with them, but minimum maintenance roads should be just fine.

 

It appears you didn't opt for the wind faring cross bar on the front...yes?

Thats an awesome look! Getting sliders raw and painting them are a great way to customize your rock sliders to your vehicle!

 

That looks nice! I've been wanting a full length roof rack, but the brand-name ones are a bit more than I'm willing to spend. Definitely going to look at that one. Are all the crossbars necessary? Does that rubber strip look like it will wear through the paint?

 

picked up a brand new pelican 1740 from FB marketplace. it fits perfectly between the wheel wells in the cargo area and will fit long ways on my gobi rack as well.

 

Installed Victron DC/DC 12/24 converter to charge my EcoFlow Delta 2 Max. First perfectly in the driver’s side rear wheel well area (lots of room), so out of sight. Just have solar cables coming out of a grommet just above it, and cut a hole and 3D printed a vent grate for it.

But I’ll be pulling this out since the EcoFlow 800W Alternator charger is on sale till tomorrow, as I like the idea of being able to charge my vehicle battery from the power station. Saves me buying a battery booster.

 

All the crossbars are not necessary. This rack has a drill and no drill option. I did no drill. Put all the crossbars in mine. And the rubber strip looks like it won't. But again, it's new.
