What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Spent yesterday installing a off-brand roof rack. It came from TKMAutomotive. Found it on Amazon. Going price around $500. Good bit cheaper. Wasnt hard to do, but like a lot things from the People's Republic of China, lots of small parts. And instructions weren't the best.

These were taken from security camera at work. Had a family emergency and didn't get daylight time for pics.

I've had mine for 27k miles and agree with the above.

 

So I recently dealt with some similar with this.

Couple of things to make sure:

1) Make sure the ABS Speed Sensor wire/harness has NOT been stretched or damaged. If that is the case, you may have to replace this. It's fairly cheap on Amazon. This is one I bought off Amazon:

2) They sell a CD/diagnostic cable on Amazon:

I had to do 1 and 2 to get mine fixed after 3/2 lift. But check that ABS wire. If it's stretched or damaged in anyway, the CD won't do any good until you replace it.

Planned on paying it off this month, BUT plans aren't turning out as I planned for now I mean I still can just not W/the means I planned.

I really didn’t think it was worth it for my taco, but with the 4Runner it’s worth it. You get 8 panels that stick in pretty good. Black & reflector side. Mine have been in all day since arrival @ 10am. I’m about to go check how well they did temp wise.

Also got to drive in some sand yesterday! 4x4s working - no problems! 2 F150s got stuck - I did not!!! Hahaha

Drove my little ones to the park in the Runner straight from daycare, there’s always trains passing close by and the boys get a thrill

Loaded the 4R, drove to our local lake, just dad and boys while mom shops w/ the mother-in-law, only to find out the damn lake is closed

Lighting upgrade day today. Switched all the interior lights to leds the week I first got the 4R last September, but had a few things that I was waiting for sales, etc.

So today, swapped out the brake light for the red lense version, replaced the map light leds with the Meso red/white map lights, put in the sequential turn-signal leds on the mirrors and while I had the mirrors disassembled, put leds in the puddle lights.

 

Installed Meso lights. I have them on my Tacoma too. Big difference IMO.

 

Took the SR5 to the Locker and picked up our beef.....818lbs of corn-fed Nebraska Beef! Drove home and unloaded the beef and started detailing outside and inside. Just got done! Think I'll have a t-bone for supper!

 

Having A T-bone myself tonight & the Wife is having her shrimp!

 

I like shrimp too! Can't go wrong with a good t-bone on a saturday night!

 

From Maine & don't eat seafood/fish.(Love to fish though) Baked potato for me & Baked Sweet potato for the Mrs. T-Bone from local store great cut! P.S. Dad was a USDA Insp so I got a little insight to beef, eh!

 

Sure! FYI - I have my cloth window covers on the rear doors. You get 8 panels total. Front window & back window. Plus each side glass panel. They pop in & out with ease & don’t fall out. Only light getting in is around the rearview mirror. Also, not many thorough reviews online, glad to help!













If I leave them in my truck over night, its still really cool on the inside come 10am. My house faces due south & my driveway has tons of Denver sun. The snow melts very quickly in my front yard. That’s why I got them. I went to the truck at about 4pm & it was hot as hell in there! So they work but with moderation. When I close the rear hatch it hasn’t fallen out.

Thank you! I would prefer a winning Broncos team to complement my inferno but since we’re dead last in standings, I’m not worried about watching every game this year. Hopefully the Chiefs new stadium puts a stop to that dynasty.

 

Had shark and swordfish when I was stationed at Camp Pendleton.....good stuff! Baked potato here tonite too....loaded 'er up with butter, sour cream and bacon bits.......I'll take an extra cholesterol med before bedtime! LOL

Picked up my 4Runner finally, finally I am one of y’all. Happy to have a good kid hauler and something the wife and I can take to the drive in and have more room for “snuggling” in the hatch.
