    2015 4Runner SR5 - Red

I've done several searches but haven't seen this exactly. If I somehow missed it, let me know. I just got this 2015 4Runner a month ago. It just recently started doing this. The 2014 RAV4 I traded had also started doing this too. The unit freezes up, not turning off, changing volume or any input from unit or steering wheel. After severalinutes, it shuts itself down and reboots

I've been considering whether to replace this unit or buy a dashcam unit that will do audio, android auto and the like. Still researching before deciding. Going to look to see if the unit may need an update. Tips for any of this is welcome!

Are there any electrical mods? Are the battery and alternator healthy? Something dragging down the supply voltage or a bad ground could cause weird behavior.

My 2015 Tacoma used to do that. Mine was fixed by a software update to the head unit by Toyota.
