Does this have enough torque to remove lug nuts?

I have Milwaukee M18 2860-20 (450 ft-lbs) and M12 2554-20 (250 ft-lbs). The smaller one does not have enough torque for stubborn cases.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
For me the big question is batteries. Do you already have dewalt batteries?
They are where the $ is.
There are some counterfeits on Amazon too.

Now I’d be interested in tools I can just toss some brand-agnostic 18650’s into but I hear they use them anyway inside the batteries

Looks like this Dewalt has 400 ft-lbs, unlike the higher end model 961B that has 1750 ft-lbs.

I have the DCF891 which supposedly supplies 600 ft-lbs, with 800 ft-lbs breakaway torque. It has no problems whatsoever with lug nuts.

That's the same battery my DeWalt lawnmower uses, two.

I actually like my DeWalt corded 1/2 impact. Its not powerful but snugs them down.

Great price on a really good impact. I have one myself and use it all the time on my rig. Plenty of power and torque.

Looks like a good deal  400 ft-lb is enough for the steering stop bolts and axle nuts.

Gen2 M12 2563-20 stubby now does 550 ft-lb, should be enough to remove the crank pulley bolt, which is probably the most stubborn fastener on the vehicle: https://www.northerntool.com/produc...ve-size-1-2-in-volts-12-model-2563-20-6051870

I use kobalt 24v for anything bigger than a Milwaukee m12 due to a clearance leaf blower long ago. The mid torque stubby 1/2" has been great.

It turns into a long term relationship since you don't want a bunch of incompatible stuff--I use the same batteries to mow the lawn.

I have the bigger model (DCF900P1)

And it's a beast. It'll snap your wheel studs.

The larger 20v batteries $60 each. I order 2 last week for $100.

Yeah, you want at least the 20v/5amp batteries to get all the torque capability out of it. But it's a great set up.

I have a really old harbor freight pneumatic earthquake that will slow the earth’s rotation. My son’s pneumatic DeWalt could not remove a pitman arm with the puller. The old HF had no problem. Dragging a hose sucks but so does cursing.
