After a few months of “stressing” about if this setup will work or not I finally made it happen. There is hardly any information/beta on a setup like this so I hope this helps someone out.

The Sherpa Crestone worked great with cargo boxes/ski boxes!

I just had the rack installed yesterday, went over to the Thule store in Denver this afternoon and pulled the plug on a Thule Force XT XL. I had to move the cross bars around a bit but that is the only thing I had to do in order to make the cargo box fit.

The high-end boxes could potentially fit, but I like the vertical space of the Force. I don’t think the XXL would fit, but the XL is perfect, can open the trunk with no issues, sunroof still works 100%.

I mounted it all the way to the driver side, I may even try to fit an 83L Roam case next to it or some traction boards.

I can add some more up close pictures if needed.

What’s the clearance between the bottom of the crossbars and the roof in the middle? Do the passenger side feet get close to the roof/slide on the roof?
