no idea. I’ve only owned it for a month. All the other sensors read just fine the first time I brought it in.

yes...yes I had that exact issue with a 2011 Toyota I bought a couple years ago

TPMS light flashes for a min, then stays on means at least one sensor is not being read

first took it to the dealer, and they wanted some huge price...
then went to discount tire and got 4 new wheels with 4 new discount tire TPMS sensors
Discount tire used their OBDII tool and reset my system...

you should replace all four sensors at the same time, and reset the TPMS after doing so

Based on the age of the vehicle in your profile, they might be overdue. Typical TPMS battery life is 5-10 years.

Well I took it back to Big O tire, and before even looking at it, the guy suggested I take it to the dealer as their techs tried everything they could think of, so now I'm out $200 and exactly where I started. Should I grab a TMPS module off eBay or something and throw that in and see if it fixes? Do they need to be programmed? I've never had an issue with TPMS before so I'm kind of lost and annoyed. I guess I could also take it to Discount Tire and see what they say, and hopefully not spend several hundred more dollars on something that doesn't fix it.

Well, I still have a stupid blinking TMPS light, but at least my shift knob arrived from Lithuania lol. I really like it more than the giant factory one.

I had good luck with Discount tire and the TPMS sensors they sell. I added 4 new ones when I did a wheel swap. If I recall their sensors were 40-50 bucks each. They have the tool to program them to your Runner. No issues since....so far..

I have those same tires on TRD Pro wheels on my 22 ORP (285/70/17). They are great. Smooth ride. Good handling. Last a ridiculously long time. Quiet.

I don’t do any serious off roading so these tires fit my needs perfectly.

Share your thoughts on the tires when you have time and some miles on them.

I had these tires on my 2020 ORP and only put about 7K miles on them before I traded for my 2022 ORP. When I traded, I swapped those tires, wheels, and lift kit from the 2020 to the 2022 and have put about 9K miles on them (16K total miles). I also have these tires on my 2012 Tacoma 4WD and am on my 2nd set.

They ride great, are quiet, hold the road well, and last a ridiculously long time. I got around 80K miles out of the 1st set on my Tacoma. When I replaced them, it was not because they were worn out but because they were dry-cracked due to age.

Since I have a company vehicle, it will take several more years before I could ever wear these out as I only have 9K miles on my 2022 and have had it for a little over 2 years.

If I did a lot of serious off-roading, I might go with something else but since I do not, these tires fit my needs perfectly.

I drove my nephew's kid-sized bike (with training wheels) to the local park. Real good use of the 4R :D.

On a side note: took the 4R to mechanic I trust, changed out the ABS speed sensor wiring on driver front side. The factory one got stretched on the lift a few months back and finally got around to get it fixed. After that, I ran the program you can get off Amazon, cleared out the codes, and dash is pretty much clear (minus TPS sensors).

For those that don't know... this is a new version of the Mich Defender M/S. Came out a few months ago. It's an XL rated tire. Stiffer sidewalls than the previous version. I've had them for a couple months now. They're very noticeably different than the previous version of the tire.

I find that they need to be run at a slightly higher pressure (~36psi) than the previous version (~33psi). Great on the highway, not as much body roll in windy conditions. Feels more firmly planted. But slightly less mpg and I do feel it in the gas pedal. Difference is subtle but there. New version is great in snow/wet (so was the previous version).

I had the front windows and upper windshield tinted. I had them match the rear…. Seems light to me, anyway I prefer tint.

I think I’m going to wait on tires as I’m not sure if I stay stock size or go 275/70 17

I bought the pro rack but decided not to install it.

next up is frame protection, still researching fluid film vs New Hampshire oil undercoat

I did the Amsoil HD Metal Protector.. dry to the touch… and lasts multiple seasons before having to re-apply… IMO, way better than the fluid film I used prior to hearing about the Amsoil. Seriously! Look it up on YouTube… some dude did a test…
