Hello! New here! I’m looking for a good lift kit for my 4Runner Venture. It has KDSS, looking to lift enough to fit 33’ Nito’s. I do some light off roading with the truck, nothing intense. The vehicle is mostly my wife’s daily driver. Not looking to break the bank but would like something reliable too. I’ve done research and it seems the options are endless, kind of overwhelming. Any information or personal experience would be much appreciated!

    Welcome to the forum!

Do you want a lift for looks or ground clearance?

Id consider not lifting or keeping the lift very mild if the trails don't require it.

A stock 4Runner is capable of 90% of forest roads out there...
Once you start looking for obstacles or going to off road parks the story changes a bit and you may need a lift, bigger tires, armor. The list goes on.

@TrailSpecial22 I’ll check out your set up! Originally I was looking at a bilstein lift but after tons of reading and YouTube videos I was leaning towards the Icon stage 2.

@1SilverRunner Id say it’s mostly aesthetic, I know my truck stock is more then capable for handling the type of off-roading/overlanding I currently do. I just want that aggressive lifted look with the bigger tires that looks so good on a 4Runner.

    Nothing wrong with that.
I’d recommend some bilsteins with a mild lift. 2.5” max in the front. 1-2” in the back depending on how much rake you want to maintain to haul gear.

285/70/17 is a pretty universal size for 4Runners but skinny tires 255/80/17 are a good option to keep weight and rolling resistance down.

Do plenty of research before purchasing!
    Good luck brother!
