    just bought this 97 from one of my friends. Has a bad old leak at the moment(I think it is the oil pump O-ring) but hopefully I will have it up and running shortly. 260K and overall in good mechanical condition. 2.7L manual transmission. I love it.

    Yep. Posted here thinking that someone may have some input on a leaking oil pump O-ring.

    Well, just in case anyone has a similar issue, turned out to be the oil filter mounting bracket that had a bad O-ring. There are two O-rings, one on a post that is threaded into the block, and another sealing the bracket to the block. It was a pain in the ass to get to, but got them changed out and it seems leak free.
