Has anyone done a headlight restoration that has held up outdoors for any length of time?

I am somewhat surprised not many people responded to your inquiry. I recently sold my 2004 Pilot that lived outdoors in SoCal. For 20 years I maintained my headlights with occasional cleaning using an old school Cleaner Polish "TR3".
I would water dampen a piece of cotton "terry cloth"wash cloth applicator apply a quarter size smear of the TR3 and rub circular on a palm size area. Gunk would come off on the cloth. Polish off haze with a second old cotton T-shirt. Then fold applicator cloth to a clean spot and repeat.
The clear plastic headlights stayed servicable. I made sure the area of the headlight plastic in front of the bulbs was transparent.

Yearly UV protectant (like Meguiars headlight spray) followed by Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic spray wax.

after restoration you need some type of UV protectant as mentioned. I used Plexus after restoring my 2006 Tundra lenses. It worked well and I've been using it a couple times a year on my 2019 4R since new in hopes it will help them last longer.
