I removed mine to remove the chrome trim piece for painting. As I am sorting the painting of the chrome piece I look at the 4Runner without the rocker guard there and really like the appearance without it, albeit a bit naked and raw looking due to the metal piece that’s visible are there any mods that can be done or has anyone done to the stock rocker guard to make it look more non-limited like?

Not looking to purchase after market rocker guards. Simply looking for a cost effective mod if it exists.

Trimmed mine up short to just cover the holes in the body and then bought the $40 end caps and called it good. Couldn’t justify hundreds of dollars for something nobody will really notice.

Kings, Crestone Rack, Baja S8, Baja Fogs, Baja XL80s, Baja mini cubes, SPOD, ARB compressor, RCI full skids, ROAM box and stuff. ST Pros. Shrockworks sliders... GOAT armour
I removed all of mine on my limited. Used the Shrockworks filler cap and trim piece. If you need pics I can go get one. You likely can copy it seeing as Shrockworks..is gone.

Toyota, albeit pricey, does sell rocker trim for the other models that will work. Do a search for user @Daytonaviolet.

Ya no go, too rich for my blood. Reinstalled the rockers as is, looks way better with the chrome painted.

As a FYI, the clips on Amazon work perfectly for replacements as I snapped a few on removal of the rocker guard.
