I heard about this from a guy whose cousin works in the auto industry, he's like a "lot boy" or something. He was in the bathroom when some exec-type wearing a suit (so you know it's true) was telling someone else that he was at a conference where they were talking, not about the FJ, but about some Chrysler, I think the 300 maybe. Anyway, he's pretty savvy, and he knows some people that like to go off road sometimes, in their CUV (whatever that is). One of those guys said it's definitely coming to the states, as long as enough people want to buy one and they aren't too much to ship from Ohio, or wherever they're made. Something like that. Pretty sure that means it's coming stateside. I'm just not sure what an LC is, and FJ is a Jeep, right?

FJ is a Jeep with a Toyota F-series engine. Of course Toyota can't call them Jeeps in North America due to trademark issues with AMC/Chrysler/Stellantis, so "Land Cruiser" was invented.

Bronco Sport is selling well? Relatively low investment to do a reskinned Corolla Cross?

LC FJ is a shorter LC, still body on frame with solid rear axle

^That is speculation/wishful thinking, and in contradiction to the concept renders published by Toyota. It is clearly a much smaller vehicle, low to the ground with little suspension travel:

Yeah, but that misses the point of creating idle speculation leading up to a bunch of shit-posting about what it actually is by people who were never going to buy one anyway. :stirthepot:

Hopefully that's meant to be just an attachment point for Rotopax or the like. If not, I assume you're supposed to grab an upper rung, step one leg onto the tire and maybe the other leg onto the bottom rung. Getting that second foot around the fender flare might be awkward, and it's a big step.

^It's marketed as a ladder. There's an instruction video in the AliExpress listing. Last 5 sec of the video show it in use:

If they just take the 70 series design language, shrink it down, it would sell. Instead they have to come up with a brand new design language that looks nothing like what they currently or historically produced. Not to mention the design is fugly

If they shrink the FJ, isn't it just a Jimny?

I had 2 FJ's a 2008 & 2012 Loved them. Fit my needs %100. The 4runner is over kill for me But had no other choices. 2015 Tacoma Access cab was meh. Interior was inferior to the FJ & totally to the 4Runner.

Just compared to the FJ for me. Overall the performance is exactly the same.

If the performance is the same, what part(s) are overkill?
