    I’m going to tackle the breathers here in a few weekends. I am going to try to get the ones off the transmission and transfer case as well but they are a giant pain in the ass

    Not my 5th gen, but started disassembly on my 2005 tonight. Not to bad for about 3.5 hours of work and my first time digging into one of these engines. Heads are coming off tomorrow. Not sure if there is any valve damage, engines are said to be non interference but I have no way to know and I really don't want to pull all this apart again. Never hurts rebuild heads with 250K miles on them anyway.

    Plugged in my Pedal Commander and pushed the pedal for a spin. Bye-bye lag, hello unleashing of the HP. HAHAHA
    So far I like the off the line pick-up the Commander unlocked....not so much the MPG reduction. LOL

    Have it set to City+3 and like the improved reaction time I am getting.

    Looking into/at couple things for next 'add-on' / upgrade (in no particular order):
    • Rigid Midnight Edition E-Series Pro 30" Light-bar to replace the silver one that sticks out like a sore thumb behind my blacked out grill
    • Cold-air intake (recommendation appreciated)
    • Exhaust upgrade (recommendation appreciated)
    • Black-out or remove completely stock roof rack
    • FINALLY get that custom fabricated front skid plate installed and look at skid plates along the rest of the underbelly

    • Oh, yeah. gotta clean out the inside of her too. she is getting dirty in there

    After reading the instructions for installing the snorkel it said to pull the air box and seal the drain and inspection holes to prevent water from entering the air box so I’d say it’s designed for water fjording.
